The great thing about a venue like Rogers Arena is that it isn’t tied down to one kind of event. All that you have to do to play a stage this big is be the very best in the world at what you do. I can’t imagine three more disparate bands to take to the stage this August and September than these two acts, but that’s the great thing about Vancouver – we have room for all kinds of people, all kinds of fans, and all kinds of music.

ZAC BROWN BAND

If you’re not a fan of country, then you may never have heard of the Zac Brown Band. You may never have heard that in 2015, the single “Homegrown” from their fourth studio album, JEKYLL + HYDE, was declared “The #1 most heard song” by Mediabase. You may never have heard that they’ve won three Grammies and their albums are multi-platinum. But if you ARE a country fan, then you know all you need to know – that the Zac Brown Brand write great songs. They’re playing Rogers Arena August 18. Tickets here.

ONE REPUBLIC

These indie rockers from Colorado Springs launched into the stratosphere with their HUGE hit, Counting Stars, four years ago. Since then they’ve been earning accolades and cred by releasing hit after hummable hit. They’ll be taking to the stage at Rogers Arena August 21st with special guests Fitz and The Tantrums to blow the roof off the place.

LIONEL RICHIE & MARIAH CAREY

Are you kidding me? These are two R&B titans who have never been equalled in terms of voice, songwriting, or number of incredible hits. They’re sharing the stage at Rogers Arena on September 3, and it’s hard to imagine a more storied duo than these two. Do not miss out.

If you’re going to Rogers Arena, stay in upscale comfort nearby at the Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton in downtown Vancouver.
