Best place to dine out nearby Hampton Inn and Suites by Hilton Downtown Vancouver
After work last week, we had such a great dinner in Yaletown, which is just a few minutes’ walk from the Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Downtown Vancouver that we had to share our amazing experience with you. The restaurant: The Blue Water Café & Raw Bar (http://bluewatercafe.net/). We could tell right away why it was named Vancouver’s Best Seafood Restaurant in 2013 by The Georgia Straight, WHERE magazine, and Vancouver Magazine Awards. If you enjoy seafood and fantastic service then this is a restaurant you should not miss when visiting Vancouver.
The restaurant is furnished with wood, and gives off a welcoming yet sophisticated vibe. We were seated by a window that looked out onto Hamilton Street and were able to watch the bustling yaletown natives and visitors walk by. We were recommended by our waiter to order the chilled king prawns and a white wine from California to accompany them (can’t remember which wine, but it was delicious). The prawns were large, cooked perfectly, and paired excellently with the wine.
Keep in mind that the prices are not for every day dining on a budget of an intern, but the relaxing atmosphere, nice furniture, the excellent service, as well as the quality and freshness of the food make it worth doing. If you want to experience Vancouver’s best seafood dining on a weekend, it is best to book a table. Feel free to ask our colleagues at the Front Desk of Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Downtown Vancouver to make a reservation for you by calling 604-602-1008!
