BC Place Stadium – 0.13km – 1 minute walk

BC Place Stadium is the largest cable-supported domed stadium in the world! More than 60,000 people can enjoy the atmosphere which is tailored for a variety of events – from summer festivals in the sun, to football games sheltered from the rain or an intimate concert bowl. Rogers Arena – .64km – 5 minute walk

Yaletown – .66km – 10 minute walk/3 minute drive

Approximately 10 minutes by foot and 3 minutes by car you can find an area in Vancouver Downtown which is famous for its restaurants, sidewalk cafes and a vivid nightlife scene called Yaletown. Today it is one of the hippest spots in Vancouver and an ideal location to spend an evening or a night hopping from bar to bar and enjoying the amazing restaurants.

Shopping District – 1.5km – 3 minute walk

The main shopping streets are located just steps away from the Hampton Inn and Suites Downtown Vancouver to the delight of shopping addicts alike! Stroll along Robson Street, visit the Pacific Center Mall, or explore the boutique shops in Gastown and Yaletown. With so many locations to shop, you will really enjoy our Whirlpool to unwind in either our corner rooms or the 16th floor!

Canada Place – 1.5km – 7 minute drive/18 minute walk

Canada Place is a five-sailed shaped complex located in Downtown. Built for the World Expo in 1986, it houses The World Trade Center, Vancouver Trade & Convention Center, and also the CN IMAX Theatre. Canada Place also hosts many events such as Canada Day, Christmas fireworks and numerous parades. Walk around the building to enjoy the panoramic view of the city and the North Shore while exploring the Canadian story with the War of 1812, Canada’s communities and so much more. In the summer, it is the Cruise Ship Terminal for ships embarking or returning from the Alaska Cruise Adventure.

Gastown – 1km – 15 minute walk/2 minute drive

This city district at the northeast end of Downtown, only 15 minutes walk or 2 minutes drive from the hotel, is a must see for everyone who visits Vancouver. It was the first Downtown core in Vancouver and is named after “Gassy” Jack Deighton, a Yorkshire Seaman who opened the first salon. Rambling through the cobblestone streets you can discover many unique fashion and furniture shops, bars that makes you feel like you are back in bygone days. A site not to miss at the top of each hour is the famous steam clock. It is the town’s oldest landmark, on the corner of Water and Cambie Street, starts spewing out steam while playing her melody.

Granville Island – 4.03km – 8 minute drive

Granville Island is a part of the city where art is home, food is plentiful and history is everywhere. The Emily Carr University of Art & Design is located on this cozy island, creating a prime location for artisans to open shop to display and sell their unique work such as glass blowing, totem pole craving, felt making, and painting, to name a few. Located right along the water’s edge is the ever famous Public Market with its exotic and local flavors. You can get on the island by car in 8 minutes or enter the island by one of the false creek ferries. Science World  – 1.93km – 4 minute drive/25 minute walk

The large globe shaped building on the opposite side of the water from the Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Downtown Vancouver is an icon of the False Creek area. This globe shaped building is where you will find Science World, an interactive science adventure museum. IMAX theater, Wind tunnel, electromagnetics, and more can all be enjoyed from April 2 to June 28 Monday to Friday 10am – 5pm, Saturday, Sunday & Holidays 10am – 6pm and from June 29 – September 2 from 10am – 6pm daily. It is an adventure for the whole family.

Stanley Park – 3km – 5 minute drive/10 minute bike ride

Stanley Park is North America’s third largest urban park. A peaceful and relaxing atmosphere emerges from this beautiful wildlife area. Come and admire its rich fauna & flora with birds, racoons and squirrels in the trees or in the gardens, and herons, swans and ducks at Lost Lagoon or Beaver Lake. Enjoy many attractions offered at Stanley Park, such as the Children’s Farm Yard, Totem Poles, Vancouver Aquarium, the miniature train, Seawall, beaches, pitch and putt, and outdoor pools.

Vancouver Aquarium – 3km – 5 minute drive/10 minute bike ride

Located at the center of Stanley Park, the Vancouver Aquarium is Canada’s largest underwater paradise. Come and discover its 70,000 creatures and improve your knowledge about the local aquatic life. Enjoy the many shows put on by dolphins, beluga whales, sea lions and sea otters while learning more about their habitats and lifestyles. Others creatures such as penguins, sea turtles, sharks, anacondas, to name a few, will keep you interested as the hours just fly by. This is an ideal place to bring the family. Vancouver Seawall – 3km – 5 minute drive/10 minute bike ride

Encompassing Stanley Park and the majority of Downtown Vancouver, spending an afternoon exploring the Seawall will be an experience to remember. Filled with spectacular and peaceful views of Vancouver by walking, running or riding your bike, it offers a gorgeous panorama on the Pacific Ocean, The Kitsilano beaches, Granville Island, and West and North Vancouver mountains. Go for a ride on one of our complimentary bike rentals located at the Front Desk, and enjoy the 9km seawall to admire all views offered by the city of Vancouver.

Mount Seymour Provincial Park – 24.5km – 41 minute drive

Mount Seymour Provincial Park will delight you year round. When the mountains are covered by snow, enjoy skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing or tubing and appreciate the spectacular mountain top views of the city of Vancouver. The park has an 81-hectare controlled recreation area with many scenic trails.  In summer, go biking, hiking or picnicking and discover the rich wildlife and the many pristine lakes in the area.

Grouse Mountain – 13 km – 20 minute drive

Grouse Mountain, with its great view of the city, is known as the “Peak of Vancouver” and is open daily from 9am to 10pm. The base of the cable car station is located on 6400 Nancy Greene Way North Vancouver only a 20 minute drive from the Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Downtown Vancouver. During the winter season, with its 4 chairlifts, snow shoe trails, and sleigh rides, it is a must do experience. During the Summer months don’t forget about the Grouse Grind; a 2,8km hiking trail, and the mountain ziplines, bear den, movie theater, and the award winning restaurant on top of the mountain.
