Vancouver has plenty to do this holiday season – here’s just a few things we’re looking forward to!

The Vancouver Christmas Market is a local institution, something that Vancouverites look forward to every year. Now in its new home at Jack Poole Plaza, there’s even more room for festivities!
The Vancouver Christmas Market reproduces a miniature European village from years gone by at the most festive time of year. Shop for delightful, handcrafted gifts while enjoying live music, rides, delicious treats you’ll look forward to all year round and maybe best of all, festive mulled wine! Whether you’re looking for an activity your whole family will love, or a romantic night out for two, the Vancouver Christmas Market is the perfect night out.

Vancouver combines the best of the big city and the outdoors. A short trip by car or boat (check out Vancouver’s unique Seabus!) and you’re in North Vancouver, a neighbourhood perched between the water and mountains – and in North Vancouver’s backyard is Grouse Mountain.
Grouse Mountain is a pretty amazing gem in its own right: a combination of a ski-hill and community centre with a fun gondola ride to the peak, December might just be the best time to visit. That’s not just because the skiing is good – you can also enjoy Grouse’s Peak of Christmas, which means sleigh rides, outdoor ice skating, gingerbread house displays, holiday season movies in their Theatre in the Sky, visits with Santa Claus, reindeer and a variety of other special Christmas activities and events. All of this happens all through December – make a point of checking it out!

Whatever you want to do in Vancouver, staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Downtown Vancouver means you’ll be in the heart of the action.
