Get your game face on! Vancouver has an exciting lineup of sporting events in 2018 and early 2019. From basketball to rugby, sports fans won't want to miss these highly anticipated tournaments and events:

Basketball: Vancouver Showcase - NCAA Division 1 Basketball | November 2018

Premier basketball is back in Vancouver! Starting November 2018, eight men's and eight women's basketball teams will descend upon the 2010 Olympic Host City annually during the American Thanksgiving holiday week for the Vancouver Showcase. During this week, National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) Division 1 men's and women's basketball tournaments will be played back-to-back under the iconic sails of the Vancouver Convention Centre in downtown Vancouver.

Hockey: 2019 IIHF World Junior Championships | December 26, 2018 - January 5, 2019

The 2019 IIHF World Junior Championships of hockey will begin on December 26, 2018, co-hosted by Vancouver and Victoria, with the gold-medal game being played on January 5, 2019 at Vancouver's Rogers Arena. Vancouver last hosted the tournament in 2006, when Canada took gold over Russia in the 5-0 final. 

Figure Skating: 2018 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final | December 5-9, 2018

The 2018 ISU Junior & Senior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final is the long-anticipated concluding event of the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating circuit, a series of senior international figure skating competitions. Skaters are awarded points based on their placements and the top six in each of the four disciplines advance to the final. At the final, medals will be awarded in men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. This event is hosted at Vancouver's Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre. 

Rugby: HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series | March 9-10, 2019

In 2015 Vancouver was awarded hosting rights by World Rugby, a circuit of international rugby tournaments played at select cities around the globe and featuring 16 of the world's top men's rugby sevens teams, over twenty other biding nations. The annual event takes place at BC Place, one of the league’s largest stadiums with 54,000 seats. The tournament also includes a raucous, family-friendly weekend festival.
